Driving Offences

Driving offences may be an occupational hazard for those who chose to drive without any concern for other road users but for many ordinary citizens their lives can fundamentally change if they are accused of a driving offence that may result either in points on an otherwise clean licence or even disqualification. Whether accused of driving whilst under the influence of alcohol or using a mobile telephone or other device whilst in control of a vehicle you may have placed your licence in jeopardy.

If you rely upon your licence for your livelihood then points or a period of suspension can have potentially disastrous consequences. Even if you don’t drive for a living the inconvenience of losing your licence may make life very difficult placing strain on you relationship with your family and your employer. An inablitiy to drop the children off for a birthday party or an after school activity for a lengthy period is bad enough, but if you are unable to fulfil employment obligations then the consequences could be much more serious. Equally, if your future employment prospects are restricted by simply no longer possessing a clean driving licence then your income prospects can be severely effected quite apart from any fine or costs that arise from the conviction itself.
